1. Acceptance and eligibility
By accessing the services, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you use the services for an organization, you confirm that you may bind it to these Terms.
You must be legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction.
2. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate registration, billing and delivery information.
- Keep account credentials and license keys confidential.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized account or license use.
- You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless prohibited by law.
3. Software licenses
A purchase grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Serial Port Utility for the edition, term, quantity and activation scope shown at checkout. The software and license keys are licensed, not sold.
- Personal licenses are for the named purchaser and permitted devices.
- Enterprise licenses may be used only within the purchasing organization and purchased quantity.
- You may not resell, share, sublicense, bypass activation, remove notices, or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- A term license ends when its purchased period expires. A lifetime license covers the supported lifetime of the purchased product edition, not every future product.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the services to violate law, infringe rights, distribute malware, probe systems without permission, interfere with service availability, or access another user’s data or devices.
5. Orders, pricing and taxes
- The checkout page shows the currency and price for the selected payment channel.
- You authorize the payment provider to charge the displayed total.
- You are responsible for applicable taxes, duties and payment-provider fees unless checkout states otherwise.
- We may correct obvious pricing or product-description errors before fulfilling an order and will offer cancellation or a corrected purchase.
6. Cloud Sync and service changes
Cloud features require an account, network access and available quota. We may update, secure, limit or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. Planned material changes will be communicated when practical.
7. Intellectual property and feedback
Alithon and its licensors retain all rights in the website, software, documentation, trademarks and service technology. If you provide feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful use or non-payment. You may stop using the services at any time. Sections that by nature should survive termination remain effective.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The services are provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses. Our aggregate liability for a paid service will not exceed the amount you paid for that service during the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version and effective date. Continued use after the effective date means acceptance where permitted by law. Applicable mandatory consumer protections remain in force.
